Treatment- What to expect in hand therapy?
Your treatment may include:
- Modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, TENS
- Soft tissue mobilization, manual therapy
- Desensitization, pain and edema reduction
- Custom orthotic/splint fabrication
- Serial casting to progress finger motion
- Activity modification, adaptive device training and joint protection techniques
- Stretching and strengthening program
